My name is Theran Martin and I would like to welcome all of you to United We Ride (UWR). UWR was established in July, 2007 to participate in the October, 2007 Livestrong Challenge in Austin, TX. At the time there were only three in the group: me, Clayton, and Dave. We were doing what we thought was a good thing to do: raise money for Cancer. Shortly afterwards my brother Clayton was  informed that his grandfather was battling Cancer and this motivated us even  more. After completion of the challenge we had many conversations about participating in more events as outlets to help. The concept of UWR was born.

UWR now has six new members added to the team: Andy, Cesar, Jay, Juan, Ray, and  Troy. We are all avid cyclists who share  one common goal: that we use our passion for cycling to help others in need. Now we would like for you to join our Team. We want our members to voice why they ride and what causes they ride for such as Cancer, MS, Autism, AIDS, Crohn's, Cerebral Palsy, Wounded Veterans, etc. This is where UWR comes in; we want to leave it up to the UWR community to determine what we can do to help. Whether it is a fund raising event that is already in place or something we could put together ourselves, our goal is to raise awareness and fundraise for good causes. But whatever you choose we will do it together because United We Ride, United we can make a difference!
